STILT - concept design
A stilts house with an open space underneath and a high gable roof are built primarily as a protection against flooding; they also keep out vermin. The shady space under the house can be used for work or storage. In the summer, the wind beneath the building keeps it cool. The central furnace heats the entire building from below throughout the winter.
